Being moved around various hotel destinations will not be a problem again for the head coach of Ghana’s Black Stars after a 3 bedroom house located at Airport Residential Area was handed over by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The first occupant will be current head coach of the team Kwesi Appiah who is serving in his second stint as head coach of Ghana’s senior male football team.
The soft spoken Appiah, made it clear that while this move offers the stability required to carry out designated responsibilities, it is a gesture that should be extended to other national team head coaches in future.
“I believe that it is not worth it for the nation to be paying for the coach of the national team to be staying in a hotel.
“It is always really important that we get a permanent residence for the national team coach.
“I am really pleased and I hope that in future all national team coaches should have permanent accommodation,” he told pressmen gathered at his new residence.
