The EL Wak Sports stadium came to life during Ghana’s 61st Independence Day when Charger Limited; producers of Happy Man Bitters partnered United Television to organise the Independence Day Fun games.
The event which brought together people from all walks of life to enjoy the game of football provided a platform for networking.
Partaking in the various curtain raiser games included Happy Man Bitters, St Johns Methodist Church, Ideal College and the Media eleven.
Two goals from Nii Odartey Lamptey led Ghana’s Black Stars 1992 team was enough to silence the tough-talking Kumawood actors in the main football match.
Speaking to the media after the event, Marketing Manager for Happy Man Bitters, Isaac Owusu indicated that his company decided to join the event because of the belief that a country’s wealth is its healthy human resources.
He indicated that in the coming days, Happy Man Bitters will roll out several other similar programmes.
“As a brand, we believe that a healthy human resource is what will help in the development of the country so we decided to partner on this event because it afforded people the rare opportunity to exercise. We as a brand will be rolling out similar programmes in the future towards ensuring that people stay younger and never grow old.”
